Anubhav Sinha an Indian film director & producer known for his work in "Tum Bin" and Shahrukh Khan starrer "Ra.One.", asked Lemon to do a identity for Benaras Media Works, his new production house. He wanted us to evoke a sense of deep thoughtfulness and cultural values emerging from the region around Benaras. The films from Benaras Mediaworks are more connected with the lives of common people - their dreams, hopes and hardships and societal issues of that region and India as a country steeped in contradictions.
The idea lemon evoked was to create a reminiscent form of the world famous Benaras Ghats in Varanasi but to depict them in a more hand-drawn pencil sketch and impressionist way. Also the treatment itself reveled what is the view at the ghat in the couter-form, which leaves a sense of engagement and interpretation.
